For the first time, Community invites our Chef friends from around the city to create their own vision within our walls and with the help of our team. This will be an intimate dining experience for no more than 40 guests.

Doors will open at 6:00pm for guests to enjoy a welcome cocktail crafted by bar manager, Rachel Miller.

We will invite guests to take their seats and introduce our guest chef at about 6:45pm, kicking off a delicious and unique 4-course menu at 7pm paired with 4 wine pairings.

Each course will be introduced by our guest chef to give diners the inspiration behind each course and pairing.

March’s Guest Chef Pop-Up Dinner features our friend, Chef Jeremy Leven formally of MFK who is soon to open his new concept, Sweet Home restaurant.

Jeremy Leven 

"Fresh off his residency at Noma, Jeremy Leven is a staple in the Chicago culinary world have worked at notable restaurants and is now ready to venture out on his own with Sweet Home. He is paying homage to the food traditions of Chicago, the Midwest, and Great Lakes Region. Jeremy has gained acclaim for being an early pioneer in Chicago's underground dining scene with his pop-up event series Tuesday Night Dinner. His efforts were recognized by Zagat Guide when he was inducted into their 30 Under 30 class in 2014. In 2017, Jeremy received a Michelin Bib Gourmand for his Basque-inspired menu as Executive Chef of mfk in Chicago's East Lakeview neighborhood. In 2018, Jeremy relocated to Copenhagen to do a residency at the world-renowned Noma restaurant during their plant kingdom season. While at Noma, Jeremy spent his time there acquiring new skills in the kitchen, a glossary of knowledge about wild plants, as well as numerous hours spent assisting the fermentation lab. Most recently Jeremy has taken it upon himself to travel the remote regions of the Great Lakes basin to seek out the forgotten food traditions passed down for generations."

"Sweet Home is a new restaurant soon to open by Chef Jeremy Leven. Sweet Home will focus on simple preparations of exceptional ingredients from the Midwest and Great Lakes region. Sweet Home will offer creative flavorful takes on classic preparations, while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable environment for guests.

Sweet Home's menu draws inspiration from cultivated and wild food sources of the Great Lakes region, and the heritage of the people who call these places home. A fondness for classic preparations, robust local ingredients, and an affinity for the taste of the wilderness will be highlighted at Sweet Home. Ingredients such as wild mushrooms from the Northwoods, ancient heritage pork breeds from the Oak Savannas, wild rice from Minnesota, various types of flint and sweet corns and grains, seasonal vegetables, wild edibles, smoked and fresh fish from Lake Superior, shellfish from the St. Lawrence waterways, and cave-aged cheese from Wisconsin will all find their way onto the menu."

Three For All is jazz guitar trio based in Chicago, IL.  While rooted in the jazz tradition, they bring a fresh approach to the music.  With the ability to play classic jazz arrangements as well as modern and original material, their music encompasses a wide variety of styles, feels, and emotions, and as exemplified in their recordings, can utilize the organ for a more soulful flare. Members of the group (Ariel Glassman/guitar, Simon Ciaccio/bass, Daniel Beckwith/drums) met at the esteemed DePaul University School of Music, where they are mentored by some of Chicago’s finest jazz musicians.  Each of the musicians perform regularly throughout Chicago and the suburbs at an array of venues with experience throughout the country performing in states such as Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Missouri, California, Kansas, and Tennessee
